Pros and cons of Eliss app for iPhone and iPad

Eliss app good for

The game has marvelous graphics, an innovative gameplay and such a relaxing sound. But, and this is an aweful frustrating but: it prevents to get yourself into any kind of flow. its so difficult. if you make a mistake, your done. and im just at stage 8, and the game shows me how weak I am and how much my luck grounds on randomness. I really like the style, the idea and the sound - but I really I hope itll get a little more forgiving. how else am I gonna love it :)
Great Game with stylish graphics and cool Sound. Sometimes a Little hard for me but still fun
buy this game, you wont regret it. a must for arcade enthusiasts. but beware - really really hard. buy now!
Really great game. The web is comparing it to Tetris in its simplicity and difficulty. Excellent gameplay and excellent simple graphics. Not exaggerating when I say its the best iphone game Ive seen yet, its well worth the download.
This is a fantastic game that couldnt exist on other platforms, in that it requires you to touch multiple places on the screen at once. The game design is brilliant in its simplicity and because that simplicity yields such complex and varied gameplay. Im thoroughly enjoying playing Eliss.
...and a fine attention to detail (such as sliding level points, colours and simple visual ques for highscores instead of complex text). Been playing for a couple days now, up to level nine and it doesnt just rehash the same techniques of faster, more complex levels: it introduces more multitouch, from one, then two, now at least four fingertips needed. And if the play control wasnt quite enough (the timing is excellent) then the music and sound effects set a Brian-Eno-meets-Japanese-80s-Famicon-Tech mood (brilliant enough that I play it on the house stereo for the roommates).

Some bad moments

This game is so hard with a difficulty level that goes from fun to impossible in one level that I havent touched it since buying it two weeks ago. I feel cheated. The reviews arent that great either. They have selected quotes on the game. Note how they give no ratings. This is very misleading.
Ive loved Eliss for a while. One day I just arrived to the sector 24 and Ive found it too too too too hard to solve - and you have to think that I was quite good with the previous sectors, all finished with the green bar at the maximum. With the sector 24 you simply ruin your game. Its not funny anymore there, its unpleasant. I think many developers just dont understand the difference between an hard-but-still-fun level and a pointless-hard level. In the first case you still enjoy your time and you wish to succeed, in the second case you get the feeling you are losing your time - and usually, as me, you stop to play that game.
This needs an update for retina graphics & iPad resolution. This would be such a blast to play on thew newer devices with higher resolution or more space for fingers. Unfortunately, vector art with pixel doubling is so very ugly.
This game is incredible in concept, design and gameplay.... Some of the earlier levels were very challenging although It took me all of 2 days to get to sector 15. Then I was stuck on sector 15 for a week. I felt like I was making progress but would lose the level really really fast every time. Great game I just wish the levels were a little more well balanced.
No other iPhone game has held my attention for so long. It is a simple game, but challenging and fun. It is like a living piece of art- as if Warhol and Kandinski collaborated on a game.
2 years of playing and I finally won! I feel like I solved the sphinx riddle. I love this game. Its the best feeling of accomplishment to finish a level. I also love that you can set it between you and a friend and work collaboratively. I am so psyched for Faraway!!!
