Theres no hope for an update

Great game but has aged fast on iOS

This was the game that I realized the iOS platform could be a great place for new creative games. I must stress I love this game greatly. But my issues come a simple technical one. When I get a phone call my game isnt paused, the game resets it self. The game doesnt support multitasking. A beautiful and wonderful game with some problems inside.

Beautiful & Brutal

This game murders me softly. I love it even while screaming profanities and squirming in my seat. I would like to see an update or two. Being able to play iTunes music might be nice, or at least muting just the music.

Really good

Theres a sharp learning curve. It takes a little while to wrap your mind around it but once you do its one of the funniest games on the AppStore.

Multi touch, multi original

Its the brilliance of the original Astroids with a similar look to the graphics but in color mixed with true originality in game play. The thing that makes this a beautiful game is what seems impossible at first becomes routine and then theres the next level which seems impossible all over again.

The original gem of the App Store

Eliss is a fantastic game that is a must for anyone with an iOS device. 3 years after its release and it still is one of the most innovative games on the store, combining unique gameplay only achievable on an iOS device with an interesting setting and game mechanic. Steph Thirion has created a classic game that is capable of maintaining its status of one of the best indie iOS games even after three years without any updates. Thats a feat.

A great game that never lived up to its potential

I really wanted to like Eliss. Its original, it has the most creative way of using the multi-touch, and the design is clean, retro and visually appealing. Unfortunately, the difficulty is steep and very frustrating. I got stuck on a few levels until I gave up at the near-impossible level 15. Here are some ideas: the energy bar depletes slower depending on the difficulty levels; infinite gameplay mode, where you can play for points; slower gameplay that gets faster as player skill progresses. This game hasnt been updated in years, which implies that it wont use features implemented in the past years of iOS (retina resolution, iPad screen size, multitasking) and further development for it has been abandoned. Too bad because its full potential was never untapped.

Great game, needs iOS5 update

This is a great multi touch game, but needs an update for iOS 5.

Great, abandoned game

This was one of my favorite games. Id gladly buy it again if it were updated. Its a real shame it was abandoned.

Astonishing

While Elisss gameplay is too unique to allow for reasonable comparison to anything else in the AppStore (the feel of "Hundreds" may be perhaps the closest), Eliss is in the same category of "must buy" as Super Hexagon and Osmos. The type of creativity and minimalist innovation on display here comes along perhaps no more than once a year or two on this platform. Its is more than worth the 2.99 asking price. Eliss is what games at their best are for.
